Retail Business Performance Analysis Course Overview
This course teaches students how to analyze the performance of a retail business, starting from its financial statements, and going back and investigating further the underlying causes behind the performance.

Students will learn how to read the P&L statement of a retail business, through a hypothetical example of a store’s P&L. They will learn how to understand what the numbers are trying to tell them, by asking more questions and generating more reports and calculating more metrics, based on the financial results.
The goal is to uncover the different possible reasons behind certain end results, in order to use those findings in future planning and performance management.

It then briefly goes over the other financial statements, the balance sheet and cash flow statement, in order to use the information in them to calculate different financial ratios and explain what each metric indicates about the financial performance of a business
